Libuše Dlabola Pražáková
In my painting practice, I return to the quiet touches of everyday life — to fabric, color, and fragments that carry memory. In my recent works, I sew remnants of textile into the canvas — personal relics that bear the imprint of relationship, care, and vulnerability. These are subtle gestures, sometimes barely perceptible, yet charged with inner tension — like trying to hold on to something that is slipping away.
For me, material becomes an extension of both body and memory — a space where images are created not only with a brush, but also with thread, the rhythm of hands, and repetition. It is painting as a form of retention, a space where, if only for a moment, things can be held together.
