Pavel Pražák
Pavel Pražák (alias Mae Sara) is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno, where he wandered through various studios between 1999 and 2006. As a child, he wanted to become a garbage collector, and later a performer like Milan Kozelka, but eventually changed his mind. After years of searching for who-knows-what, he became an illustrator, publisher, gallerist, and multi-instrumentalist focused on improvisation and silence, which he considers the most essential element of music.
He prefers working in watercolor and believes he has remained faithful to the sense of wonder from his childhood, when he was captivated by the “naïve art” section at the North Bohemian Gallery. In his work, he naively explores themes related to the consciousness of plants, animals, and extraterrestrial civilizations.
