Terezie Tomková
I’m Terezie Tomková (b. 1998), a visual artist based in Brno, Czech Republic. Working primarily with drawing, ceramics and installation, I explore how everyday encounters, objects and gestures carry memories and emotional meaning.
My practice often begins with daily drawings, notes or small things I find and collect. These fragments become starting points for ceramic objects and spatial arrangements, allowing images and impressions to move from paper into three-dimensional form. I approach this process intuitively, paying attention to colour, texture and organic shapes.
My work brings together playfulness and quiet melancholy. I am interested in the personal stories that gather around ordinary things: how an object can hold the trace of a place, a feeling or a fleeting moment. In my recent project, Atlas of Small Joys, I create ceramic versions of seemingly insignificant found objects, returning to the moments of their discovery and exploring the relationship between collecting, memory and care.
Through my work, I invite attention to what is easily overlooked – the small details of daily life that can become meaningful through the simple act of noticing and keeping them.
