Pavla Gajdošíková
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU) and completed residencies at universities in Finland and Australia. She also takes part in several research projects. She engages artistically and curatorially in numerous exhibitions, particularly in the fields of architecture, landscape, and space, which she explores from the perspective of socio-cultural phenomena and perception. She is an educator and artist working across various media; her current practice focuses primarily on experimentation with watercolour and porcelain objects.
After a relatively long period of black-and-white line drawings inspired by architecture and dwelling, Pavla Gajdošíková has turned to watercolour, drawing, paper, and ceramic clay or porcelain. She immerses herself in these materials and media, allowing herself to be enchanted and meditatively guided by them. Her watercolours, unfolding in transparent and repetitive layers of pink, blue, and violet hues often across the entire surface, evoke kaleidoscopes.
