Pavel Preisner
Painter, poet, and occasional illustrator for the Czech publishing house Host.
In 1997, he was selected for the 1st Zlín Salon of Young Artists, and after turning thirty he took part in all Zlín salons from 2002 onward, which became established under the name New Zlín Salon. In 2006, a collection of his drawings was included in the permanent collections of the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín (KGVU), and he participated in a group exhibition of artists from the so-called Zlín Circle, in which he has been taking part regularly ever since. He exhibits throughout the Czech Republic and across Europe.
In his work, he draws no distinction between poem and painting – both are, for him, applied poetry in a different form.
