Ondřej Navrátil belongs to the young generation of Czech sculptors who combine classical crafts with narrative and mythological thinking. As a sculpture graduate of the Prague Academy of Fine Arts and a trained blacksmith, he works with high precision, which he uses to build fictional worlds and stories. His work, often described as “sculptural comics”, draws on Greek mythology and archaeological imagination, with individual works appearing as fragments of found relics.
