Natálie Klimšová
I am a student at the Painting Studio 1 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology. In 2024, I completed a residency at GEDOK in Stuttgart and participated in the group exhibition Rozhraní labyrintu at the gallery Sibiř VýTěr OfFormát.
In my painting practice, I explore the image as a space for narration. I work with symbols and signs, seeking to connect the planes of the experienced, the seen, and the imagined. I draw from sketchbook records, to which I repeatedly return, and through their rediscovery I construct a fragmentary narrative.
My paintings feature landscapes, fantasy spaces, gardens or labyrinths, but also still lifes and figurative scenes. I work with the disruption of perspective and spatial relationships, and I employ geometrization and schematization. I am currently developing a cycle inspired by the motif of searching for water.
