Michaela Casková
Michaela Casková is a visual artist, educator, nomadic gardener, host and illustrator keeping an eye on atmospheric events. Her long-term practice centers on the foraging and gathering of plants and fungi, which she transforms into her own pigments and inks. With these materials, she creates colourful charts of places.
She is involved with the Mustarinda Association, whose program focuses on socio-ecological transformation through the interweaving of contemporary art, transdisciplinary research, residency programs, and educational and publishing activities. She also works at the University of Jyväskylä, where she collaborates with a team of scientists on the development of teacing materials for schools. She lives and works between the Czech Republic and Finland.
