Martina Valchářová
Martina Valchářová (*1995, Vsetín) is a painter working mainly in large-format oil painting, often combined with encaustic reliefs.
She studied in Painting Studios 1 and 2 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology (FaVU). During her studies she completed a residency at LIA – Leipzig International Art Programme, and after graduating she also took part in Inkubátor Open Studios in Brno.
Her work has long dealt with the freetekno music subculture and the themes surrounding it, as well as with rural life in the region she comes from, set against the present day.
She lives and works in Brno and Zlín.
