Klára Samcová
Klára Samcová’s work stems from an interest in material, technology, and the relationship between humans and their environment, with an emphasis on working with textiles. She perceives material as a carrier of memory and energy, entering into a dialogue with it across various media. In her works, she explores how meanings materialize through structure, touch, and physical proximity. Her practice often reflects interpersonal and social tensions, themes of closeness, intimacy, and mutual dependence.
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Sculpture II Studio). She also studied in the Intermedia II studio and completed an Erasmus residency at the University of Arts Linz (Textile.Art.Design).
