Jirka Houska
Born in 1985 in Prague. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, in the studio of Prof. Zdeněk Beran. Represented in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague since 2013. In 2015, his series of paintings on the theme of mysterious animals was published as illustrations in a book by leading Czech cryptozoologist Jaroslav Mareš. Member of S.V.U. Mánes since 2020. He is devoted to figure painting, portraits, and landscapes, as well as more imaginative works in the realm of sci-fi, inspired by natural sciences and mythology.
