Jan Pražan
Jan Pražan (b. 1979) is a painter and printmaker.
He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology, where he studied in the studio of Prof. Martin Mainer, completing his studies in 2012.
For him, artistic creation is a lifelong journey of exploring both the outer and inner world.
His work has long engaged with themes related to the perception of the natural, material, and spiritual realms. He draws upon the history and wisdom of indigenous nature-oriented cultures, Eastern philosophy, as well as the study of psychology. He explores the supportive and healing qualities of creativity combined with immersion in nature through his training in Eco Art Therapy. He applies the knowledge and skills he has gained in his pedagogical and artistic practice, primarily within school settings, through art encounters and creative learning.
