Iva Davidová
Iva Davidová is an artist, educator, and activist. She explores militant gentleness and tenderness, interspecies communication, interspecies coexistence, and radical imagination. In her work, she is interested in plant perception, the politics of lawns, the relationship to “invasive” species, radical gardening, and ecological grief and anxiety. Her practice is directed primarily towards drawing, painting, and object, but she works fluidly, including with photography and the written word. She serves as a lecturer in radical imagination at Vesna, is the author and illustrator of Druhé:Směny, studies in the Video studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology (FaVU), where she also studied in the Painting 3 studio, and is part of the Unbelievable Dawn project, which participated in Mad Pride and Brno Pride Week.
