Edita Pattová
"Paintings in motion"
My name is Edita Pattová, and since my studies at FaVU in Brno, I’ve been exploring what painting can be – and where it can go. Classical oil on canvas? Of course. But also as a base for video projection or a game.
Back in 2008, I started experimenting with how color and movement interact. One result was African Tiger, a projection installation that received an award at the Florence Biennale in 2013. Later, I teamed up with Pavel Spilka to create Neon Dreamer. Since then, we’ve been working on new playful projects that you might see in galleries.
