Dominique Lutringer
Dominique Lutringer is a French artist born in Strasbourg who lives and works between Tokyo and Kansai, Japan. Rooted in minimalism, his painting explores perception, time, and impermanence through the interplay of form, colour, lines, and material. Through layering, transparency, and subtle interventions on the surface, his work examines what emerges into view and what remains partially concealed. Balancing precision with the beauty of imperfection, his paintings invite viewers to look beyond the surface and reconsider their perception of space, depth, and structure. His practice reflects an ongoing dialogue between European and Japanese cultural influences, expressed through a search for simplicity, nuance, and visual depth.
