Artur Wieczerzyński
Artur Wieczerzyński – a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (ASP). Winner of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Award for the Best Artistic Diploma of 2024.
His painting practice is grounded in direct engagement with nature. He develops his experience of the relationship with the land by creating a garden as a construct based on the idea of land art. The processes unfolding in this space are transferred onto canvas, with painting treated as a transformation of lived experience.
The “Ararat” project is a long-term vision of a garden in which practical and artistic activities remain inseparable. The starting point is care for the soil, closely aligned with the principles of permaculture and regenerative agriculture. In his painting, he focuses on capturing presence and the tension that arises from continually confronting challenges that demand decisions and attentive interaction with the garden space.
