Anna Treterová
Anna Treterová (b. 2000) focuses on the classical mediums of painting and sculpture, yet she is unafraid to venture into new media and video. Her work addresses primarily philosophical and eco-philosophical themes. She seeks to poetically depict the omnipresent interconnectedness within the landscape and relate it to human society. In her practice, she draws mainly on motifs of natural structures, freely composing them into a picture. She builds her images imaginatively, drawing on her own experiences and impressions, primarily from the Czech landscape. Her work is also influenced by her experience with scientific approaches to examining the landscape through a microscope, as well as by discoveries in theoretical physics.
