Adéla Valchařová
I am a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno, Studio of Painting 1. In 2022, I participated in an Erasmus exchange at the University of Art and Design in Cluj, Romania, and in 2025, I attended the NES Artist Residency in Skagaströnd, Iceland. The subjects of my paintings range from barren minimalist landscapes to natural elements such as trees, animals, or mountains. These subjects are organic and ever-changing. Through the use of geometric shapes and straight lines, the organic quality of the depicted motif is lost, taking on a mechanical or architectural impression. Geometrization also helps me clarify and simplify the surrounding space. Solitary objects, placed at the center of the canvas, become the protagonists of the paintings.
